Read this small newspaper clipping and then write a blog post about it. What are your thoughts? How does it make you feel? Do you agree? Disagree? Explain yourself.

Okay, so at first, I did not like what this judge was saying, because there are teenagers out there who do not have anywhere to go, and who need help. I then reread it, and I realized that he was talking about the people who think that the world owes them everything. A lot of kids these days believe that anything they want to do should be served to them on a silver platter. They believe that they are entitled to whatever job they want, regardless of the more qualified person who worked hard to get where they are.

Sadly, a lot of teenagers like this grow up, and become adults. The problem is that they still think that everyone owes them, so they go through their entire lives thinking so highly of themselves. They are the crybabies mentioned in the article above, but they stay crybabies forever.

This is why we need to start educating teenagers, and telling them that they are not entitled to, well, anything. They need to learn that success comes from hard work. That is exactly what my dad teaches me, that I need to work hard and try hard for what I want to accomplish.
