Blog Post of the Day:

What are you doing for Thanksgiving? Do you have any traditions? Go in to detail about your plans for the 5 day weekend.

On Wednesday I have basketball practice from 8-10 A.M. Then on Wednesday night, I have my mom's side of the family over for Thanksgiving dinner. On Thursday, we are going to go to my aunt's house for Thanksgiving with my dad's side of the family.

On Friday, I'm planning on going Black Friday shopping with my friends, and then on Friday night my cousin is having a baby shower.

Saturday and Sunday are just chill days for me... And then back to school.

Blog Post of the Day:
Go out and look up a what all goes on a resume website. What can you find? Include an example image if possible.

I'm looking at resume websites online, and some of the examples I've seen are really cool. It looks like for every different section of a paper resume, there is a different page on that subject. Like for a "previous experience" section of the paper resume, there is a page titled "Previous Experience/Jobs" or something like that.

See on this resume there is a home page, which explains what the website is for, and then an "About me" page, as well as a "Resume","Testimonials", "Work Samples", "References", and a "Connect" page.

Blog Post of the Day:
Consider the quote below. What exactly do you think it means and how does it relate to Web Design?

I think this relates to web design because even if you make a super cool page, with an awesome color theme and stuff, but it won't mean anything if it doesn't work. When I thought of web design before I took this class, I thought that it was one person does the designing (i.e. color schemes, font choices, etc.) and another person actually puts it into play, and does the coding and stuff.

I now know that it is totally different. A web designer's job requires only the tiniest bit of actual design, and is mostly coding to get the website to work correctly.

Blog Post of the Day:
Reflect on your learning this semester so far in this class. Think about the first day you walked in to this room until right now. What have you learned about Web Design? What have you learned beyond Web Design? Explain yourself.

I have learned so much about web design and css/html. I think it is really motivating to not just have us learn it, but to put it into practice when we make websites. I have learned how to budget my time, and how to make sure everything is done to the best of my ability. Overall, I feel like I know so much more about the internet, and how it's made. Every time I go to a website now, I think about how much coding it took to make that webpage possible.

In conclusion, I believe that this class has really helped me figure out if I want to go into a career in computer design or not.

Blog Post of the Day:
Tell me about your weekend. Give me details and photos!

This weekend I didn't do much. On Friday, my friend and I dressed up and handed out candy, then watched a movie with all the lights off so that the tricker treaters couldn't see in.

On Saturday, I watched two of the Harry Potter movies, and then went out to dinner with some of my friends. After dinner, they came over to my house, and we watched a movie. On Sunday, I slept in, and then hung out alone most of the day.

Tell me about your weekend. Share pics!

This weekend I went to my cousin's wedding, in Oklahoma City. I wasn't at school on Friday because I had to go to the rehearsal dinner, which was Friday night.

Then on Saturday, my brothers went to the OU vs. K-State game, and loved it. When I went to go pick them up, I could tell that OU had lost, because all the fans streaming out of the stadium were not happy.

We went back to the hotel, and we were going to take a nap, but then my mom noticed that the wedding started at 6:00pm, not 7:00pm.

After the wedding, which was kind of weird, we went to the hotel, went to sleep, and woke up really early yesterday morning so that we could get home on time.
And that was my weekend!
